Mission and Objectives of the AMC Project

The Arab-Mediterranean Campus (AMC) is a strategic academic project developed through the collaboration of 12 Italian universities, and several universities and institutions across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, coordinated by Luiss – Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli.

The project is funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) with the goal of creating an international educational and cultural hub dedicated to young people from the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa).

With a specific focus on the Arab countries of the Maghreb, the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf, AMC promotes the exchange of skills, knowledge, and opportunities between Italy and the Arab world, strengthening academic, economic, and professional ties across the Mediterranean region.

AMC Programs and Activities

AMC activities include:

International Honor Program
An excellence training path designed for selected university students from the MENA region.

International Executive Course
Advanced training aimed at professionals, public officials, and operators from local institutions in the MENA area.

International Events
Academic seminars, business forums, and networking initiatives organized both in Italy and in MENA countries to promote cooperation and the development of joint projects.

AMC Teaching Approach

The Honor and Executive programs feature a hybrid teaching approach: the first part of the course takes place online, followed by a second, in-person phase dedicated to the most deserving students. This on-site training lasts two weeks, divided into one week at the Luiss Campus in Rome and one week at one of the 11 partner universities in Italy.

Traditional teaching is complemented by international events such as seminars and business forums held in Italy and Arab countries. The goal is to create an inspiring environment aimed at developing leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and adaptability to changes in the job market, both regionally and internationally.
